I am a singer who tends to hit random pitches. I Love my wife Rachel and my five children. Sierra (11), Aleya (8) Jayden (7) Jackson (7) Kaiden 3. Four of our five children are adopted so I am very interested in adoptions and the stories that go with them. I am a dairy farmer which I enjoy most of the time. Most importantly I love the Lord.

Amish Boats?!?!
When we arrived back at my Father-In-Law's house Sunday evening, I noticed his amish neighbor had a boat. I asked my wife "How does an amishman power his boat? Does he use horses?" She did not have an answer which sorely disappointed me. I figured people who have lived in the Nappanee/Goshen Ind. area would know the answers to lifes perplexing questions. Anyway, now I am asking you the same question.

Oh, that's an easy one. You have lots of "boat friends." If you hunt, you have "hunt friends." If you shop, well, you get the idea...
;o)
Yeah but this guy had his own boat...
how does that work? How does the boat have power or whatever....
Ummm, motors are kosher. They use them in their washers, generators, mowers, etc. Gas is all good. The bad stuff (air) is in the tires, or so I hear--ergo, steel-wheels on tractors and solid buggy wheels. So you'll need a friend to haul your boat, and then once it's launched, it's all good. Not sure what kind of tires are on the trailer...hmmmm. That loophole, and letter of the law, just closed. I think it's safe to assume that maybe he was only "storing the boat for a friend." ;o) I'm sure that's what the bishop was told.
