Blog Titles
I must admit that I have puzzled over the amazing blog titles. I am sure their are long stories behind the titles or maybe not. For instance, where did Bool's Blog come from? I know there must be story behind that one. Another question, why (D)rivvel Supp? Is this PA Dutch or some form of German? What does it mean? It sounds like some kind of soup...

I don't know where blog titles come from. I suppose people need to be creative.
Rivel Soup is a PA Dutch thing. It is a soup with lumps of dough cooked in it. Here is a receipe for some, if you want to try it:
Amish Potato Rivel Soup
1 1/2 cups water
3 medium potatoes, peeled and grated
1 celery rib, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup diced cured or smoked ham
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley or chives
Bring the water, potatoes, celery, onion and ham to a simmer in a large saucepan; cook for 20 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix the egg, flour and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt. Using floured hands, pull into stringy lumps; add to the potato mixture. Cook for 7 minutes, stirring often. Stir in milk, celery seeds and remaining salt; heat through. Top with parsley or chives.
Heh, heh. Some people will do anything to drum up comments. :o)
We all know what drivel is, and I grew up eating rivvel soup (a very simple, cheap, filling meal). I guess it's a (confusing?) way to say "this is the everyday ramblings about our life." Hey, I didn't hire a PR guy, and didn't spend a lot of time on my blog title (like maybe five minutes...or fewer...ok, maybe two max). It sounds much worse, and far less witty, when you have to explain it. :o) Like all good jokes that fall flat with explanations. Sorry. There should really be a better explanation. But then no one would write a post about it. Or give you recipes.

That's great. I had been wnating to post comment on your blog and ask you what it meant. I didn't do it because it would have had nothing to do with your post and I hate when people do that.... Anyway and so forth...
Ben's blog title with the name "Bool" originated from our childhood. Back then we would tend to come up with nick names for each other. Ben's was "Bool-beel" with "beel" as pronounced in automo"bile". He chose the first part "Bool" in naming his blog. To come up with a nickname like that you can tell us 3 boys had too much idle time on our hands!
