English

I was told today that my last post was very funny. I said really? How come?
Well you said you read and drank coffee.
Why is that so funny?
You read coffee?
Oh, yes, I drank a book and read coffee. Actually, I read a book and drank coffee.
Some people sure are sticklers...

It's this way. When there is an active verb, its action is generally passed on to the noun that follows it (the direct object). If there is a series of verbs, eg.(pushed and shoved) then the action from both is automatically attributed to the direct object that follows. Whether you meant that or not. However, I must say that I understood your post. Don't get discouraged.
