Craft Class

My wife put 15 drops of food coloring and pasta in a bag. She used four colors, red, blue, yellow, and green. She did not mix the food coloring but I am sure you can if you want some other interesting color schemes. The girls took the bags and worked the food coloring into the pasta.

Cool idea...is the pasta cooked or raw? Must be cooked if the boys ate it, or do they like crunchy stuff? I need a crafty idea for a church campout...might be an idea.

That is great!!

It looked like water mixed in the first bags... could I have a few more details?

I am not crafty, but I think I could do this.

It is not cooked. I just bought different shaped pasta, put each shape in its own bag, added a some food coloring. I totally guessed on the number of drops. The more you add the darker the color I suppose. Mix it all around in the bags. Then I laid it out on paper towel to dry. But really it was pretty much dry to the touch right away. I didnt wait long til I let them string it on elestic thread I had bought at Walmart.
It is very easy. My only complaint is the food coloring comes off when it gets wet. So when the boys find it and chew on it they get food coloring all over.
Norma, they don't really "eat" it, just chew it.
Online I saw someone said to add rubbing alchohol to the food coloring. I don't know if that helps so the food coloring doesn't run when it gets wet or not.
I didn't use it for 2 reasons, one I didn't have any, and two I heard that is not good to eat and can make you sick. So for the safety of the boys I decided not to use it.
If you need more details let me know.
