Gatorade For Cows

I bought a powder that you mix with the cows feed. Essentially it is gatorade for cows. The recommendation is to feed it through the hot spells. I decided to try it and see if it makes any difference. The cows are suppose to drink more water which does several things. More water intake would keep the cow cooler. Cows do not have the ability to sweat so they will stand around blowing or panting. Also, more water intake means more milk. I was surprised to see them continue eating well the last couple days even when it was 90 degrees and somewhat humid. Their feed intakes held steady and they were up in milk. All good things. I don't know if it can be attributed to the Gatorade or not....
